Pregnancy & Early Parenthood Support

Becoming a parent can be one of the most meaningful and most challenging transitions in life. Emotional changes can begin well before pregnancy, continue through birth, and extend into the early years of parenting. You don’t need to be “struggling enough” to reach out - support can be helpful at any stage.

We specialise in providing psychological support from pre-conception through the first 12–24 months after birth, and actively contribute to research in perinatal mental health to ensure the care we provide is grounded in current evidence. Our approach combines research-informed practice with compassionate, individualised support. We support mothers, birthing parents, non-birthing partners and fathers.

Common concerns we work with:

  • Constant worry, anxiety, or feeling “on edge”
  • Baby blues, postnatal depression, or emotional ups and downs
  • Body image and eating-related concerns
  • Birth experiences that feel frightening, overwhelming, or hard to process
  • Adjusting to parenthood, changes in identity, or loss of confidence
  • Navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, or birth trauma
  • Relationship stress and communication challenges after baby arrives
  • Anxiety about returning to work, balancing roles, or “doing it all”

Our approach

Every parent’s experience is different. Care is tailored to your stage of pregnancy or parenthood, your personal circumstances, and what matters most to you. Therapy is a supportive space to make sense of what you’re feeling, develop practical strategies, and feel more grounded and confident as you move forward.
